Description
Our client is a boutique hospitality group located in Bingin, Uluwatu, Bali, operating an exclusive clifftop villa and dining concept overlooking the ocean. They are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Controller to oversee cost management, inventory control, and financial reporting while ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cost Controller or in a similar finance role within the hospitality, hotel, or food and beverage industry.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, food & beverage cost control, purchasing, and stock management procedures.
- Proficient in cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience conducting inventory counts, stock reconciliations, and cost variance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal financial controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with inventory management, POS, and accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across operational departments.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control food, beverage, and operational costs to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts and reconcile stock discrepancies.
- Review purchasing activities, supplier invoices, and receiving records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
- Analyze cost variances, consumption trends, and inventory movements, providing recommendations to improve cost performance.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost control reports for management review.
- Work closely with the Finance, Purchasing, Kitchen, and Operations teams to ensure effective inventory and cost management.
- Monitor recipe costing, menu pricing, and portion control to maintain targeted food and beverage cost percentages.
- Ensure proper inventory controls, stock rotation, and storage procedures are consistently implemented.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate cost data and financial analysis.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies, financial procedures, and audit requirements.
