We are representing a UHNW family in the Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco in seeking a full time housekeeper.
Schedule: Monday-Friday. Some flexibility to provide later coverage when needed, occasional weekend coverage, and occasional support at the family’s vacation home for housekeeping-related tasks.
This is a multi-staffed home where you would work under a House Manager and a housekeeper lead. They are looking for a very strong, self-directed Housekeeper. The candidate would be experienced, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a non-toxic household environment. The candidate should have strong housekeeping and laundry skills, good communication, and familiarity with detailed, thorough cleaning standards. The right personality fit is very important: someone with a low ego, a team mindset, and the ability to work well with others, even when team members may have different skill levels or capacities.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Keeping the household clean, organized, and in excellent condition
- Maintaining and managing household inventories
- Notifying the Household Manager of any necessary repairs in the home or with appliances
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and maintaining floors, carpets, rugs, draperies, and upholstery
- Scheduling routine shampoo appointments for carpets, rugs, draperies, and upholstery as needed
- Dusting, cleaning, and polishing furniture, fixtures, fittings, and surfaces
- Emptying and cleaning trash containers and disposing of trash in a sanitary manner
- Cleaning bathrooms, including basins, mirrors, tubs, showers, and related surfaces
- Tidying rooms, making beds, and changing linens as required
- Washing windows as needed
- Watering houseplants as needed
- Washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen and appliances
- Sorting, washing, loading, and unloading laundry
- Ironing and pressing laundry, including clothing and linens
- Sorting, folding, and putting away clean laundry
- Managing dry cleaning pick-ups and deliveries
- Operating cleaning equipment as required
- Maintaining cleaning equipment and materials in safe and sanitary working condition
- Maintaining organized garages and outdoor household areas
- Following household systems, organization standards, checklists, and specific client preferences
- Monitoring household supplies and noticing when items need replenishment
- Replenishing household supplies, toiletries, linens, and cleaning products
- Supporting the vacation home as needed
- Performing other household duties as needed
Experience Requirements
2 or more years of experience working in a private home with great references
Educational Requirements
Fluency in English
