Contract Duration : 12 months

Qualification / Certifications:

• Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical/Petroleum/Marine Engineering from recognized Higher Learning Institution.
• Registered with Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM).

Experience:

• Possess at least five (5) years working experience as field engineer, four (4) years working experience as senior field engineer
• Possess project experience in various type of contract such as T&I and EPCIC.

Expected Skill:

• Possess experience in most of offshore transportation and installation, methodology and execution.
• Familiar with costing and pricing of offshore installation methodology and execution to ensure practical and economical approach.
• Familiar with offshore transportation & installation software e.g. MOSES, SACS, Orcaflex, StaadPro, OFFPIPE, ANSYS & AutoCAD.
• Well-versed in relevant Engineering industry codes such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, DnV, Noble Denton-GLM.
• Proficient in English with good oral and written communication skills. Any knowledge of other foreign language(s) would be an advantage.
• Able to manage a team.
• Possess good interpersonal and organisational skills and is able to liaise with various departments and Clients.
• Well-versed in Clients' technical specifications.
• Familiar with content of Contract for assigned projects.
• Good analytical skills.
• Disciplined and punctual.
• Resourceful and analytical with good leadership quality.

Main Responsibility

Plan, coordinate, execute, monitor and manage various onshore activities and offshore operations during an offshore construction project. Lead the team of Field Engineers and Senior Field Engineers.

• Reviews and familiarize with the contract documents, specifications and drawings of operations under his supervision.
• Coordinate all project vessel requirements and movements with the Marine Superintendent, Project Logistics Coordinator and the applicable vessels.
• Monitoring the progress of the work and site conditions and advising the Project Management Team and all departments in the Marine Division of any developments that may result in changes to the work schedule and/or execution sequence.
• Liaise with Project Managers during project execution to ensure that Customer and Project Management requirements are satisfied.
• Review all technical procedures related to the project such as erection, lay-out, lifting, load out, sea fastening and offshore installation activities.
• Review the project plan along with the project planner and assisting in the preparation of subcontract package for any work that requires being outsourced.
• Coordinate and ensure that engineering and associated draft works are carried out by the respective operational personnel in accordance with the specifications and schedule.
• Direct the detailing/drafting department on the prioritized issue of construction and/or installation drawings and authorization of the respective drawings and as built drawings.
• Ensure that lessons are progressively input to the Lessons Learned Database throughout the project.
• Actively promote and ensure all procedures, subordinates and subcontractors comply with Company Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure that adequate engineering personnel and equipment resources are assigned to operations under his supervision.
• Review and approve installation procedures and engineering to ensure they meet project minimum requirements and follow good engineering practice and enabling work to be performed safely.
• Supervise Senior Field Engineers/Field Engineers in their planning and execution of offshore project.
• Supervise Senior Field Engineers/Field Engineers during the preparation of material lists for construction materials and liaise with the Procurement Coordinator for procurement of requirements in a timely manner.
• Resolve any technical problems that arise during offshore installation and assist in any corrective action that is required.
• Advise design engineers of offshore operations requirements regarding installation aids, installation methods and installation criteria during the design phase of a project, and also coordinate other engineering matters with respect to Division requirements.
