About the role

At BOQ Group, we're passionate about protecting our customers and communities from fraud and scams. We're looking for Fraud and Scam Operations Analysts to join our Financial Crime Operations team and play a key role in helping us detect, investigate and respond to suspected fraud and scam activity across the business.

This is a role where you'll make a genuine impact every day. You'll be responsible for reviewing fraud and scam alerts, conducting investigations, liaising directly with customers and taking appropriate action to minimise potential losses for both our customers and the bank. You'll work across a broad range of fraud and scam matters, gathering information, assessing risk, liaising with stakeholders and helping ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved.

You'll also be responsible for maintaining accurate investigation records, preparing reports and supporting recovery activities where required. Along the way, you'll work closely with a variety of teams across BOQ Group, contributing to our broader financial crime prevention efforts and helping strengthen fraud and scam awareness across the organisation.

If you're naturally curious, enjoy solving problems and want a role where your work helps protect customers when they need it most, we'd love to hear from you.

About you

You – our preferred candidate may already have experience in fraud and scam investigations, banking operations, financial crime, customer service or a similar operational environment. Alternatively, those studying or holding a degree in Criminology or Cybercrime are also desirable.

Equally, you might be looking to build your career in this space and bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a genuine interest in protecting customers from financial harm.

You'll be someone who enjoys investigating issues, gathering facts and making informed decisions. You're highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication skills are important, as you'll regularly engage with customers, colleagues and external stakeholders while handling sensitive and often complex matters.

Most importantly, you'll bring a proactive mindset, strong judgement and a passion for doing the right thing for our customers. We provide opportunities to develop your career while making a meaningful difference to the customers and communities we serve. If this sounds like you – we would love to hear from you!
