Senior Database Developer - C13

The is responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise database solutions across multiple database platforms. This role partners with application developers, data engineers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that support critical business processes and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions across multiple platforms, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and other relational database technologies.
• Develop and maintain database objects such as stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, packages, and schemas.
• Create and optimize complex SQL queries to support application, reporting, and analytical requirements.
• Design, develop, support, and troubleshoot ETL/ELT processes for data integration and transformation.
• Schedule, monitor, and support batch processing and data integration jobs using AutoSys or similar enterprise scheduling tools.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Unix/Linux shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, or equivalent scripting languages.
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and capacity planning.
• Support database deployment activities and maintain development, testing, and production environments.
• Implement database security standards, access controls, encryption, and auditing requirements.
• Collaborate with application development teams to design efficient and scalable data models and database architectures.
• Support system upgrades, database migrations, and cloud modernization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
• Participate in on-call support and production release activities as required.

Required Experience and Technical Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with application development, with a strong focus on database development

• Strong experience with SQL development across multiple database platforms, including: Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL), Oracle (PL/SQL), MySQL, etc.

• Strong database design, normalization, and data modeling expertise.

• Hands-on experience with ETL development and support.

• Experience scheduling and managing batch jobs using AutoSys or similar enterprise schedulers.

• Strong Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting experience.

• Experience with scripting languages such as Unix, Python, PowerShell, etc

• Expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and monitoring.

• Experience with source control tools such as Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and large-scale data processing.

Education

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Statistics is preferred.

## Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$142,320.00 - $213,480.00
