Are you a friendly, organized administrative professional looking for a long-term opportunity with a well-established organization?
We are currently recruiting for a Receptionist / Front Office Administrator to join a well-established organization located near Balzac, just north of Calgary.
This is a long-term temporary opportunity of approximately 12 months, providing maternity leave coverage with the possibility of extension.
This position offers a welcoming office environment, a variety of reception and administrative responsibilities, and the opportunity to work independently while supporting a friendly team.
Please note: Reliable personal transportation is required, as the location is not accessible by public transit. To help offset commuting costs, the client provides a $125 monthly gas card.
The Opportunity
As the Receptionist / Front Office Administrator, you will be the friendly face of the office and an important point of contact for visitors, employees and field staff. You'll provide general administrative support while helping ensure the office remains organized, welcoming and well stocked.
The office environment is generally calm and organized, with some quieter periods throughout the day. This can be a great fit for an experienced administrative professional looking for a steady opportunity, or a post-secondary student with previous office experience who appreciates a role that allows for some independent time during the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Reception & Customer Service – Welcome visitors, provide assistance to field staff and respond to general inquiries.
- Administrative Support – Handle document scanning, label preparation, office signage, filing, email correspondence and other general administrative tasks.
- Office Coordination – Help keep the office organized and ensure day-to-day administrative needs are taken care of.
- Supplies & Orders – Assist with ordering office and kitchen supplies as required, ensure common areas are well stocked.
- Event Coordination – Assist with catering for special events, coffee orders and other office activities.
- Facility Support – Help ensure breakout areas, boardrooms and the front entrance are clean, organized and welcoming.
- General Office Support – Pitch in with a variety of tasks and provide support to the team as needed.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is dependable, personable and comfortable working independently.
- Previous reception, administrative or general office experience.
- Reliable personal transportation – this location is not transit-accessible.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Friendly, patient and professional demeanor.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and stay productive during quieter periods.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
