The work
The Senior SAP Warehouse Management (WMS) Functional Consultant is responsible for delivering end‑to‑end WMS functional solutions across complex SAP projects. This role focuses on analyzing business processes, designing functional solutions, and performing detailed SAP configuration to support key warehouse operations including receiving, put‑away, inventory management, picking, packing, fulfillment, shipping, labor management, warehouse performance metrics, and Extended WMS capabilities.
You will lead client requirements gathering, create detailed configuration designs, and deliver functional solutions that align with business needs and integrated application workflows. The consultant will also develop test strategies, manage large testing cycles, produce documentation, and collaborate with technical and functional teams to ensure seamless integration across SAP and connected systems. Experience with team leadership, planning, forecasting, and mentoring junior resources is highly valued.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead client workshops to gather and refine warehouse management business process requirements
- Develop detailed configuration approaches and build SAP WMS solutions aligned to those requirements
- Implement functional solutions across receiving, put‑away, inventory management, picking, packing, fulfillment, shipping, labor management, and warehouse analytics
- Create test strategies and manage large, complex testing cycles including SIT and UAT
- Produce supporting documentation such as RICEFW functional inputs, test scripts, and process models
- Configure and enhance SAP processes that integrate with other systems
- Collaborate closely with technical and functional teams to ensure solutions meet all business and integration requirements
- Support project planning, staffing, and forecasting activities
- Manage and mentor junior team members, providing training and guidance
Here’s what you need:
- 5+ years of SAP and WMS functional experience
- Demonstrated team lead experience
Eligibility requirements:
- US Citizens only (no dual citizenship)
- Eligible to obtain a minimum of a Secret Clearance
- Must reside locally in St. Louis, MO or be willing to travel to St. Louis weekly to the client site

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
