About the Role

DayOne is building its flagship hyperscale data center campus in Lahti, on a former industrial site in Kiveriö. The campus is designed to use Finland's naturally cool climate for free cooling, with air-cooled chillers that remove the need for freshwater cooling. Join the Lahti team early and help shape how a campus of this scale is built, commissioned, and run.

As a Security Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing security operations across the data center campus. You will develop and implement security policies, manage security personnel and vendors, ensure compliance with security standards, and coordinate responses to security incidents to safeguard facilities, assets, and personnel.

Your key responsibilities will include,

Security Operations Management

• Developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
• Overseeing day-to-day security operations across the campus.
• Coordinating and managing security personnel, training activities, and compliance with security protocols.
• Managing access control systems, CCTV systems, and alarms.
• Ensuring authorized access while preventing unauthorized entry.

Risk Management and Incident Response

• Conducting security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
• Developing and maintaining incident response plans.
• Leading responses to security incidents and breaches.

Vendor and Contractor Management

• Liaising with external security providers and contractors.
• Supporting contract management and vendor relationships.
• Ensuring consistent and high-quality security service delivery.

Security Training and Awareness

• Developing and delivering security awareness programs.
• Promoting a culture of security awareness and vigilance across the campus.

Compliance and Reporting

• Ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Preparing regular security reports for senior management.
• Maintaining records of security incidents and corrective actions.

Budget and Technology Management

• Managing security-related budgets and expenditures.
• Evaluating emerging security technologies and industry developments.
• Recommending and implementing improvements to security systems and controls.

Requirements

Technical skills

• Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in security management, preferably within a data center or other high-security environment.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, systems, and best practices.
• Proficiency with security management software and tools.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, PSP, or equivalent are considered beneficial.

Soft skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with high integrity and a collaborative working style.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Finnish is considered a benefit.
