What You’ll Do
The City of Fredericksburg's Commissioner of the Revenue seeks motivated interns for a paid position. This role offers hands-on experience in municipal tax and revenue operations. Ideal candidates will have basic business accounting and finance skills and be enrolled in or recently graduated from a related program. It’s a great opportunity to gain practical skills in revenue assessment and public administration.

Minimum Qualifications
- Enrolled, or recently graduated from, an undergraduate or graduate degree program in business administration, public administration, accounting, finance, economics, or marketing
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public and city staff and to exercise sound judgment in decision making
- Knowledge and skilled in Microsoft Office software, required
- Ability to learn and comply with State and City tax code
- Demonstrated adherence to ethics and confidentiality and ability to use good judgement
