Sales Manager - Japan

To build something exceptional, you need exceptional people. Formlabs is growing its Japan team and looking for a technically strong, enterprise-savvy sales professional to help our channel partners win their most complex, high-value opportunities.

Industry leaders such as Toyota, Yamaha, Tesla, Ford and Unilever rely on Formlabs. In Japan, we are experiencing rapidly growing demand across key sectors, including automotive, medical devices, and defense. These customers require more than a transactional relationship; they need a trusted technical expert who understands their unique applications and can guide them to optimal solutions.

The Job

• Support channel partners on complex, high-value sales opportunities in Japan
• Manage key enterprise accounts alongside channel partners
• Understand customer technical needs and recommend the right Formlabs 3D printers and materials
• Deliver product demos and technical presentations to decision-makers
• Build strong relationships with key customers to drive satisfaction and growth
• Develop account strategies with partners across manufacturing, medical and dental sectors
• Share Japanese market insights and competitive feedback with the broader Formlabs team

You

• STEM degree or engineering background
• Native Japanese speaker with business-level English
• Curious, hard-working, coachable, and eager to win
• Comfortable operating independently in a market where Formlabs is still building brand awareness
• Willing and able to travel regularly across Japan to visit customers and partners (approx. 30%)

Bonus Skills

• Background in manufacturing, dental, medical, or automotive industries
• Experience with 3D printing, additive manufacturing, or adjacent hardware technologies
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
• Experience in a high-growth technology or startup environment
• Experience working in a channel sales model
• Passion for emerging technologies and their industrial applications
