Full-Time Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse – Ophthalmic Surgery Center

Everest Surgery Center is seeking a Full-Time Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team at our brand-new, 3-operating-room ophthalmic ambulatory surgery center in Midlothian, Texas.

Position Details

Position: Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse
Schedule: Full-Time | 4 days per week
Location: Midlothian, TX
Setting: Ophthalmic Ambulatory Surgery Center

Responsibilities

The Pre-Op/PACU RN will provide high-quality nursing care throughout the patient's surgical experience, including:

• Pre-operative patient assessment and preparation
• IV insertion and medication administration
• Monitoring patients before and after surgery
• Post-anesthesia recovery and discharge assessment
• Patient and family education
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Communication with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team
• Maintaining patient safety and adherence to ASC policies and procedures
• Participating in quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives
• Supporting an efficient, team-oriented surgical workflow

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Demonstrated IV start skills
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• Previous ophthalmology experience
• Previous ASC, Pre-Op, PACU, or perioperative nursing experience
• Experience caring for patients receiving anesthesia or procedural sedation
