- Develop software components that enable configuration, telemetry, monitoring, and device management capabilities
- Collaborate with firmware and systems engineers to integrate software across hardware and platform layers
- Design software with a strong emphasis on reliability, performance, maintainability, and secure operation
- Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to secure design decisions throughout the product lifecycle
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system integration and interface issues
- Develop unit tests, integration tests, and automation tools to validate software behavior
- Create and maintain technical documentation, API definitions, and design specifications
- Support software bring-up, debugging, and product validation activities
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with embedded or systems-level products
- Strong programming skills in C++, C, PHP, or Python
- Experience developing and integrating APIs such as gNMI and REST
- Understanding of embedded Linux environments and systems programming concepts
- Experience with IPC mechanisms, networking protocols, and device management interfaces
- Strong understanding of secure software design principles and secure coding practices
- Familiarity with authentication, encryption, access control, and secure communication methods
- Experience debugging software on embedded hardware platforms
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with network devices, telecom systems, or embedded infrastructure products
- Familiarity with YANG models, protobufs, gRPC, or NETCONF
- Experience with cross-compilation, build systems, and embedded toolchains
- Knowledge of low-level networking concepts and telemetry systems
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI pipelines for embedded products
- Exposure to real-time or resource-constrained system environments
Competency
- Strategic/Critical Thinking—Systematically solves problems and hypothesizes possible client pain points, expectations, and implicit needs; brainstorms with team members to devise solutions to solve complex client challenges
- Networking—Identifies the right client stakeholders and builds connections quickly to drive consensus for design wins; works cooperatively with a wide range of internal stakeholders for success
- Ownership—Goes out of his or her way to complete a task and has relentless drive to achieve results; is independent and self-directed, and takes initiative.
- Workflow Management—Sets clear, realistic, and time-bound objectives that align to business growth; breaks each objective into tasks and process steps that can be achieved within a realistic timeframe.
Please submit your resume along with a summary of your experience in embedded systems software, interface/API development, and secure software engineering.
