Join Hema-Tec: A Mission-Driven Company That Invests in You
At Hema-Tec, Inc., we don't just hire employees—we invest in Team Members. We are a family-owned, mission-driven organization built on the belief that exceptional patient care can only happen when we take exceptional care of our team and their families.
Our vision is to change the world, one team member, one patient, and one partner at a time, as we become the industry's preferred provider. As a Biomed Specialist, you are the crucial link between our office logistics and our hands-on field operations. If you want to empower exceptional team members to change the lives of dialysis patients, one treatment at a time, we invite you to bring your organizational and technical skills to our team.
Location: Clawson, MI | Competitive Compensation, DOE
Our Commitment to You
We demonstrate our strict dedication to our team, their families, and our patients with a comprehensive support package designed to invest in your well-being and growth. Here is what is in it for you:
- Financial Wellness: Competitive compensation and a company-matching 401(k) plan.
- Health & Wellbeing: Comprehensive health, medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
- Work-Life Balance: Generous paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays so you can rest and recharge with your family.
- Growth & Recognition: Abundant opportunities for career growth, professional development, and dedicated team member recognition programs that celebrate your exceptional contributions.
- Culture: A collaborative, nurturing team environment that actively values your ideas and input.
The Three Skills You'll Use Every Day
Instead of a long checklist of daily tasks, this role relies on three core technical and collaborative competencies. We look to you to champion these areas:
1. Seamless Logistics & Supply Management
- What it looks like: You are the hub of our operational readiness. You will coordinate all company supply orders, manage parts within approved purchasing authority, and handle receiving, storage, and distribution. You will also maintain accurate supply, inventory, and assigned service records in UpKeep, and help test AI-assisted supply-process improvements.
- The Value Connection: You tackle every problem with a solution. By streamlining administrative work and ensuring our field teams have exactly what they need, you directly support our ability to deliver safe, uninterrupted care.
2. Field Support & Technical Adaptability
- What it looks like: You bridge the gap between the office and the field. After training and competency confirmation, you will assist field biomeds, cover vacations, and step in for daily facility assignments as the service area grows. Working strictly within your demonstrated competence, you ensure a qualified, authorized technician verifies required services before returning equipment to use.
- The Value Connection: You deliver on our promises with a can-do attitude. Whether you jump in to cover an absence, assist with a weekend supply rework, or travel to set up a new geography, your flexibility ensures our partners are never left without support.
3. Data Quality & Collaborative Follow-Through
- What it looks like: You compile vital water-quality reports, check data, track missing results, and coordinate follow-ups under established procedures. You will also coordinate the resolution of office and warehouse facility issues with vendors—you aren't expected to fix everything yourself, but you are expected to see it through to completion.
- The Value Connection: You know that reputation means everything. By guaranteeing accurate records and creating extraordinary moments by going above and beyond to resolve facility or data issues, you build immense trust with our field team, management, and hospital partners.
Schedule, Locations & Team
- Shift & Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, Day shift
- Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Locations & Travel: Based primarily in the office/warehouse, with infrequent travel required. You may spend a couple of weeks onsite to help implement a new geography, or take on short day/weekend projects at existing hospitals.
- Team & Support: You will report directly to Biomed Manager Dan MacLeod, who will actively support your success by setting priorities, assignments, training, and coverage.
What You Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
- Aptitude & Organization: Strong computer literacy, technical aptitude, and highly reliable organization and follow-through are core needs for this role.
- Experience: Prior dialysis experience is a huge plus; supply-management experience is a strong bonus.
- Compliance Mindset: Ability to strictly follow approved site and water-quality procedures, ensuring all technical work stays within demonstrated competence.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel infrequently for new territory setups and coordinate travel, equipment, and coverage alongside management.
1. Submit Your Application: Takes less than 10 minutes. Apply today with your resume highlighting your logistical, technical, or dialysis experience.
2. Connect for Accommodations: Optional. If you require assistance or a reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process under the ADA, reach out to us at [email protected] or call 586-231-1423.
