The Financial Aid Trainer position requires an individual who is self-motivated, knowledgeable in the field of Financial Aid, creative minded and are fully capable of speaking in front of an audience. They work closely with all teams within the Financial Aid Department as well as with other Departments at Full Sail and with our sister institutions. The ideal trainer is someone who is personable, articulate, outgoing and able to explain financial aid in a way that is clear and understandable to both new hires and tenured staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Elaborate and Detailed Training of all FA New Hires
  • Creative minded with the ability to develop resources that are used by our Department
  • Ensure the Department is aware of both Federal and Institutional policy updates to Financial Aid
  • Must have the ability to collaborate and work together with peers and leaders on projects
  • Must be proficient with Financial Aid policies and procedures
  • Self-Motivated with the ability to stay focused on projects and/or tight deadlines
  • Address questions that are received to our training team through our email inbox
  • Work hand in hand with our Audit department to ensure alignment on policy and procedures

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the training of new hires for LAFS and RMCAD
  • Work with fellow training staff to cover their new hire training as needed
  • Provide technical support for web-based training sessions

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two years of Financial Aid
  • Experience or an equivalent combination of Education and Experience Required

Computer/Equipment Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneNote)
  • Adobe Products (Photoshop, Lightroom)
  • CampusVue
  • Salesforce

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:

Must be able to transfer training materials between offices. Work is performed in an office environment at a computer desk for long periods of time for the majority of the workday. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; and enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to thirty (50) pounds.
