Description
Make an Impact Where Technology Meets Operations
What You’ll Do
Drive Daily Operations
- Own day-to-day operational activities across assigned technology suppliers and services.
- Work directly with suppliers to resolve issues, remove roadblocks, and keep commitments on track.
- Monitor equipment orders from request through delivery, proactively identifying risks or delays.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure priorities are understood and addressed.
- Provide operational coverage and continuity when teammates are unavailable.
- Lead or support recurring operational meetings, ensuring actions, owners, and follow-ups are clearly defined.
- Look beyond individual requests to identify recurring issues, process gaps, and opportunities to improve the overall experience.
Support Procurement & Financial Operations
- Support purchasing activities, including requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier coordination.
- Partner with suppliers and internal finance teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
- Help maintain accurate product, pricing, supplier, and catalog information.
- Support financial reconciliation, reporting, true-ups, and other periodic business activities.
- Follow transactions through to completion rather than simply passing issues to another team.
- Help ensure purchasing and supplier activities follow established controls, policies, and business requirements.
Keep Data Accurate and Actionable
- Monitor technology and asset data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Investigate data exceptions and work with the appropriate teams or suppliers to correct them.
- Maintain product and part information within asset and operational systems.
- Reconcile inventory, storeroom, and system records to identify discrepancies.
- Produce and maintain operational reporting that helps teams understand performance, trends, and areas requiring attention.
- Turn operational data into useful information that supports better decisions and prioritization.
Strengthen Supplier Performance
- Build productive working relationships with technology suppliers and service partners.
- Track supplier performance against agreed expectations and operational commitments.
- Prepare and report recurring supplier performance metrics.
- Help identify root causes behind recurring service or fulfillment issues.
- Support corrective-action and remediation efforts when performance falls short.
- Participate in supplier reviews and help ensure commitments are documented and followed through.
- Help establish strong working relationships based on accountability, transparency, and mutual respect.
Support Change & Growth
- Help prepare suppliers and internal teams for new products, hardware transitions, and operational changes.
- Support new product introduction and readiness activities.
- Assist with supplier onboarding, including operational requirements, data, processes, and documentation.
- Help ensure new services and suppliers can be successfully integrated into existing operations.
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate unnecessary effort, and improve scalability.
Coordinate Across the Technology Ecosystem
- Coordinate with service providers supporting workplace technology, equipment, and related services.
- Provide tactical support for shipping, freight, and logistics activities when needed.
- Partner with global IT and operations teams to coordinate work across locations and time zones.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and technology users.
- Help create a seamless experience by keeping people informed and taking ownership of follow-through.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who combines operational discipline with a problem-solving mindset. You may have experience in IT operations, IT asset management, procurement, vendor management, supply chain, logistics, technology operations, or a related field.
You’ll be successful in this role if you can:
- Manage multiple priorities without losing track of details.
- Build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently.
- Follow an issue from discovery through resolution.
- Recognize when something doesn’t look right and investigate it.
- Work comfortably with operational data, spreadsheets, reports, and business systems.
- Understand how purchasing, inventory, fulfillment, and financial processes connect.
- Organize work independently while knowing when to escalate.
- Balance immediate operational needs with longer-term process improvements.
- Adapt quickly when priorities, suppliers, systems, or business needs change.
- Approach problems with curiosity rather than simply following a checklist.
- Take ownership and follow through on commitments.
What Will Set You Apart
- Experience working directly with technology hardware or equipment suppliers.
- Experience with IT asset management, procurement, logistics, supply chain, or inventory operations.
- Experience working with ERP, procurement, asset management, ticketing, or inventory systems.
- Experience reconciling operational or financial data.
- Experience building or maintaining operational reports and performance metrics.
- Experience supporting supplier reviews, service-level management, or corrective-action plans.
- Strong spreadsheet and data-analysis skills.
- Experience working across global teams, distributed organizations, or multiple time zones.
- A continuous-improvement mindset and a track record of making processes easier, clearer, or more scalable.
How You’ll Make a Difference
Your work will have a direct impact on how effectively people receive and use the technology they need to do their jobs. You’ll help turn complex operational challenges into clear solutions. You’ll help suppliers perform better. You’ll help ensure data can be trusted. You’ll help prevent small issues from becoming larger ones. And you’ll help build operational processes that can scale as the organization grows. If you enjoy being the person who connects the dots, gets things moving, solves problems, and makes the operation better than you found it, this could be a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
