Job Description:

We are looking for a senior Business analyst with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the functional analysis of business requirements for the implementation of software solutions for core insurance domains (e.g. policy and claims processing, financial flows) with a good knowledge of the Life Insurance market, preferably in Belgium.

The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders and the IT delivery team, ensuring that business requirements are clearly understood, translated into functional specifications, and effectively implemented in the software solutions throughout the project lifecycle from the analysis until the test and deployment in production.

The ideal candidate combines strong knowledge of Belgian Life Insurance products and business processes with hands-on experience in IT software implementation projects. The candidate should be comfortable working with both business users and IT delvery teams and be able to translate business needs into effective IT system solutions.

Knowledge of the DXC software solution GraphTalk would be considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact between business stakeholders and the technical team.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution discussions with stakeholders.
  • Support the technical team by providing functional guidance and clarifications throughout the implementation process.
  • Ensure alignment between business expectations and delivered solutions.
  • Coordinate and support testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Assist with issue analysis and resolution from a functional perspective.
  • Contribute to project documentation, user training, and change management activities.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the a similar business analysis role.
  • Good knowledge of (Life) Insurance products, business processes, and IT software solutions.
  • Experience working on IT implementation or transformation projects, collaborating with both business and IT stakeholders.
  • Ability to bridge business and IT teams and translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT solutions.
  • Knowledge of IT software packages/solutions for core insurance domains and knowledge of DXC software GraphTalk is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Belgian Life Insurance regulatory and operational practices is an asset.
  • Experience of working in multicultural and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional language proficiency in English and a good knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
