About the role

As our Global Distribution Circularity & Compliance Lead, you’ll take on a newly created Senior Manager position within the LEGO® Group. You’ll connect sustainability ambitions with operational action. You’ll drive global programmes covering waste compliance, reporting, scrap governance and reduction. You’ll begin by mapping current practices, then strengthen processes and shape the long-term strategy.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Operations, Supply chain, Distribution or a related field, with responsibility for compliance, reporting or process improvement initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing regulatory compliance and reporting requirements, preferably within an operational or environmental context.
  • Strong analytical and data-management skills to turn complex information into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving stakeholders across a global organisation.
  • Proactive and collaborative problem solver, able to identify opportunities, address challenges, and drive practical solutions.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a passion for simplifying processes, increasing efficiency, and driving positive change.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, align needs, and build strong partnerships.
  • Self-directed with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, delivering results independently in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Applied experience within sustainability, logistics or circularity.

What you’ll build

  • Maintain stakeholder alignment and accountability for responsible waste-management practices.
  • Map current practices across distribution centres and align regional processes with climate and circularity ambitions.
  • Support Regional Distribution teams in delivering waste and compliance programmes and targets.
  • Drive the global scrap process, including governance, training, accountability and site onboarding.
  • Lead annual global reporting on unsold-goods destruction, supporting EU compliance and a consistent global approach.
  • Ensure compliance across electronics, textiles, apparel and emerging regulated waste streams.
  • Use data to prioritise improvement opportunities and support scrap-reduction targets.
  • Advance Circular Recovery and Near-Zero Scrap 2030 objectives through prevention, root-cause analysis and recovery initiatives.
  • Drive global programmes supporting zero waste to incineration across the distribution network.
  • Monitor emerging regulations and strengthen readiness for future waste requirements.

Life on the team

This role is part of the Global Distribution function, anchored within the Global Supply Chain Operations organisation. You’ll build on the strong progress already being made across the LEGO Group to reduce finished-goods waste. As waste-management practices and regulatory requirements evolve, you’ll provide dedicated expertise to strengthen, standardise and scale these efforts across the global distribution network.

 

You’ll help align waste-management processes across Distribution, with a focus on global compliance reporting, scrap-process governance and waste-reduction initiatives. Working closely with Operations, Sustainability, Compliance and site teams, you’ll drive continuous improvement, strengthen accountability and create value for both operational performance and sustainability ambitions.

What success looks like

You’ll create visibility across today’s programmes, processes and data. You’ll then strengthen reporting, accountability and regulatory readiness while continuously improving the global approach. Working closely with Operations, Sustainability, Compliance, regional distribution leaders and site teams, you’ll turn waste challenges into lasting operational and sustainability value.
