Open to new graduates as wellEmployment Type: Full-Time/ Part Time/ PRNInnovative Therapy Concepts (ITC) is a physical therapist-owned and operated therapy management organization founded by Joe Sapp, PT, in 2006. We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our growing team and provide high-quality care across two locations in the Cordele community.
We are looking for a clinician who is passionate about helping patients improve their communication, cognition, swallowing, and overall quality of life. Outpatient experience is preferred, and we welcome therapists who enjoy working with a variety of patient populations.
📍 Phoebe Sumter – Americus
This position will primarily provide outpatient speech therapy for adults, with opportunities for some inpatient coverage as needed.
What You’ll Do:
As an SLP with ITC, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other speech-language pathologists. You will encounter a wide range of diagnoses and have the opportunity to evaluate and treat patients with:
- Speech and language impairments
- Cognitive-communication disorders
- Swallowing and dysphagia
- Airway disorders
- Clinical voice and resonance disorders
- Communication impairments across a variety of diagnoses and age groups
Responsibilities may include evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, administering speech and language therapy programs, monitoring progress, and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.
Experience or competency with instrumental swallowing assessments, including Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) and/or Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), is a plus.

We Are Seeking:
- Speech Language Pathologist with a strong drive to learn and grow - enhance your clinical skills while working with an experienced team
- Candidate with a strong emphasis on patient care, quality, outcomes, and efficiency
- Graduate from a ASHA accredited Speech/Language pathology Program with Master’s Degree.
- Must be certified (CCC) by the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association, or meets the educational requirements for certificate and in the process of accumulating the supervised experience for certification within completion in one year.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Appropriately assesses and examines patients with varying diagnoses according to SLP scope of practice.
- Treats patient within the SLP scope of practice.
- Teaches patients how to use and care for orthotic, prosthetic devices, and other assistive apparati.
- Provides education to patients, caregivers and associates regarding SLP interventions, safety, community resources and outcomes.
- Recommends appropriate adaptive equipment for ambulation and functional mobility.
- Coordinates and leads groups.
- Attends and participates in care planning meetings as assigned.
- Communicates and collaborates with all customers and interdisciplinary team members.
- Maintains gym area and equipment.
- Contributes to profits and revenues including marketing and productivity.
- Participates in budget development and cost saving efforts.
- Serves on performance improvement teams.
- Participates in community services.
- Provides care and documentation in accordance with regulatory, legal, and reimbursement guidelines.
- Accepts responsibility for own growth and development through inservices, required programs and continuing education.
- Complies with all established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains CPR certification.
- Assumes responsibility for completing all assignments and tasks in a timely and cost efficient manner.
- Performs other duties as required.

- Use of intranet, Microsoft Outlook, Current EMR, MD Portal, Lawson, NetLearning, Microsoft Office Products, therapy related equipment, software and patient education resources.
- Daily operation and basic maintenance of office equipment and machines such as phone system, fax, copier, etc.
