Job Description

As a Security Officer Store Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with customers and team members while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, team members, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by providing directions, assisting with de-escalation, and documenting incidents according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
