Description

So, You Want to Be Our PIP Adjuster?
  • PIP Adjuster – Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Remote or Hybrid (HQ: Plantation, FL)
  • Full-Time

Who We Are (The Honest Version)

We’re Responsive Auto, right here in Plantation, Florida, building one of the leading personal auto insurers in the state and working alongside thousands of agents to make insurance feel less like paperwork and more like a promise we actually keep.

We believe great claims work starts with people who bring humility, accountability, common sense, and a collaborative mindset. We work closely as a team, communicate openly, and take ownership of delivering a strong experience for our customers and agency partners.

The Role

As a PIP Adjuster, you’ll manage Florida PIP claims from start to finish, working directly with customers, attorneys, medical providers, insurance carriers, and vendors. You’ll investigate coverage, evaluate claims, negotiate fair settlements, and identify matters that may require additional investigation, all in a fast-paced claims environment. This role requires sound judgement, strong communication, attention to detail, and ownership of your claims from beginning to resolution. You’ll be part of our Claims department.

 Where You’ll Work

Our headquarters is in Plantation, Florida, where we believe working together in person strengthens collaboration, communication, and problem-solving. This role is remote or hybrid.

 Your Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

What We Offer (Yes, It’s Real)
  • 100% Employer-Paid Healthcare: Responsive Auto pays 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums for each full-time employee (families are extra), with free preventative care.
  • Employer-Contributed HSA: Responsive Auto contributes $500 per quarter to your HSA account.
  • Retirement Savings: Build for your future with a 401(k) with company match.
  • Wellness Program: Access mental health support and wellness resources designed to support your overall well-being.
  • Growth: Grow your skills and career through training and development opportunities in a collaborative environment.
  • Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

 What You’ll Actually Do
  •  Investigate and Evaluate Claims: Investigate, evaluate, and settle Florida PIP claims, establish coverage and qualification for injured parties, and negotiate fair and equitable settlement.
  • Manage Your Claims: Maintain an organized and accurate diary to ensure claims are handled timely and records remain complete and accurate.
  • Communicate Clearly: Prepare clear, accurate, and timely responses to demands, requests, and questions.
  • Deliver Professional Service: Interact with customers, attorneys, providers, and other stakeholders with professionalism, courtesy, and accuracy.
  • Use Available Resources: Effectively use tools and public resources to settle claims.
  • Stay Current: Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, trends, and emerging issues.
  • Stay Compliant: Handle claims in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and company requirements.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Candidates without a degree will be considered when they bring relevant experience and demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Licensing: Active Florida All Lines Adjuster License 6-20 required.
  • Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. This is non-negotiable. Our customers rely on us to serve them, and they deserve to be served in the language they choose.
  • Experience: At least 2 years’ PIP Adjuster experience handling Florida automobile claims.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including active listening.
  • Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and ensure tasks are followed through to completion.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Work Style: Team-oriented, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced claims environment.
  • Growth Mindset: Curious, self-motivated, open to feedback, and committed to continuous learning.
 How We Roll
  •  Adapt: We embrace change and keep improving, instead of defending “how it’s always been done.”
  • Collaborate: We work transparently and respectfully — collaboration isn’t just a value we hang on the wall, it’s how we actually get claims closed.
  • Engage: We stay curious and committed to the people we serve — customers and teammates alike.
  • Be Data-Driven: We use what the numbers tell us to make smart choices.

 Equal Opportunity

Responsive Auto provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran, marital, or domestic partner status.
