The County of Santa Clara Office of the District Attorney is a premier public agency, renowned for strategic leadership, innovative prosecution, and a steadfast commitment to justice. We’re seeking a dynamic leader to reinforce the financial and administrative backbone that supports the important work of our office.
Your MissionAs Financial and Administrative Services Manager within the Office of the District Attorney, you’ll guide our Office’s financial, budgetary, and administrative infrastructure. Reporting to County of Santa Clara District Attorney Jeff Rosen, you’ll support the DA’s mission by providing essential operational stability and strategic insight.
You’ll manage multiple units through subordinate managers, collaborating with executive leadership to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and organizational equity across all internal support functions.

Leadership PresenceYou’ll represent the DA’s Office with the Board of Supervisors, County Executive’s Office, and County leadership—advising on budgets, staffing, systems modernization, and compliance within stringent legal and fiscal environments.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Finance & Budget Leadership
- Direct Office-wide budgeting, expenditure tracking, and revenue reporting.
- Monitor complex cost structures and provide county-level fiscal insights.
Administrative & Systems Oversight
- Lead the development and maintenance of administrative systems and the use of information technology.
- Modernize legacy processes, enhance data reporting, and collaborate on County audit recommendations.
Operational Support for Justice Functions
- Oversee HR support, logistics, facility maintenance, procurement, and production of memoranda for the Board of Supervisors.
- Ensure seamless deployment of clerical and administrative services that sustain prosecutorial and investigative teams.
Management & Team Development
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and guide subordinate managers and their teams.
- Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance organizational culture that emphasizes respect for all.
Analytical Insight & Problem-Solving
- Conduct operational assessments, identify inefficiencies, and implement informed improvements.
- Prepare strategic reports and analyses for the DA and executive leaders.
What You Bring
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree (Business Admin, Public Admin, or related)
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience overseeing complex financial/operational units
Knowledge & Skills
- Governmental budgeting and fiscal oversight
- Public administration, HR, organizational processes, and information systems
- Familiarity with state/federal regulations and audit standards
Abilities
- Lead county-scale operations
- Solve complex administrative and financial challenges
- Interpret legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Communicate effectively with leadership, cross-functional teams, staff, and external partners
