At OTIS, a leading multinational company in the elevator industry, we are looking for na Area Branch Manager for Gauteng.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Area Manager GDN (Global Distributor Networks) is responsible for managing and developing the relationship with assigned distributors, driving commercial performance in New Equipment and related opportunities, and supporting the sustainable growth of Otis market share across the assigned territories. The role combines commercial leadership, technical coordination, contract negotiation, distributor development and market intelligence, while ensuring strict compliance with company rules and ethical standards.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
- Define the commercial strategy and priorities for each assigned country or distributor.
- Support distributor commercial training, including new products, evolutions, codes, tools and sales practices.
- Review quotation requests and tenders, including technical feasibility, traffic analysis, sourcing options and pricing strategy.
- Coordinate with factories and internal teams to build competitive and compliant commercial offers.
- Define financial conditions and contribute to price, discount, payment and margin negotiations.
- Negotiate or support negotiation of distribution contracts and commercial terms.
- Develop New Equipment business and modernization/service business opportunities.
- Maintain close relationships with key distributors, clients, general contractors, consultants and other market influencers.
- Participate in selected customer events, seminars, site visits, factory visits and showroom visits.
- Identify market opportunities, follow competition trends and propose business development actions.
- Ensure compliance, documentation discipline and adherence to company ethics and internal controls.
- Contribute to GDN transversal initiatives and continuous improvement actions.
What we are looking for:
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales Management or a related field is highly preferred.
- 7- 10 years experience in the lift industry or the similar industry would be beficial
