Lead Officer Sourcing is responsible for leading sourcing activities within assigned commodities, ensuring alignment with European sourcing strategies, supplier development objectives, and cost optimization initiatives. The position serves as a key interface between suppliers, European HQ Purchasing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Contract Manufacturers to ensure supply continuity, quality performance, and commercial competitiveness.
Your responsibilities will be to:
Manage sourcing activities in line with European commodity strategies by leading OS team
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contractual conditions with suppliers
Identify and develop new sourcing opportunities and supplier improvement initiatives
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, technical capability, delivery performance, and cost
Drive cost reduction, lead-time optimization, and supply chain efficiency improvements
Manage supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships
Coordinate with SQE, Engineering, and European HQ on supplier qualification and sourcing projects
Provide market intelligence and sourcing expertise for assigned commodities
Support capacity planning and ensure supplier readiness for new projects and production requirements
Monitor sourcing risks and escalate critical supplier issues when necessary
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance and operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and sourcing procedures
Our requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field
Experience in automotive or a similar environment is considered an advantage.
Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Good understanding of sourcing processes and quality requirements
Excellent spoken and written English
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Responsible, proactive, and team-oriented mindset
ERP/MRP system knowledge is an advantage
