As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public library location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and assist patrons, staff, and visitors with professionalism. This driving post requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patrons, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public library locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate emergency services and/or site leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout library facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, communicate observed concerns, and prepare accurate reports for incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.
• Maintain a professional presence while following applicable laws, client requirements, and Allied Universal armed officer procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
