Job Specifications Position: Senior Process Engineering Manager Location: Iran Reports to: CEO and dotted line to the Mine GM Webpage: https://www.jdvpartners.com The Senior Process Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the scale-up and optimization of large-scale copper processing operations in Iran. With ambitious growth targets—one open-pit mine scaling from 1 million to 15 million TPY and another from 1.5 million to 3 million TPY— this role requires a technically strong and operationally grounded expert to ensure metallurgical excellence and continuous improvement throughout the process plant. Main Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering initiatives to optimize throughput, recovery, and efficiency across all

sections of the copper plant. • Support the ramp-up of production from current to future targets (1 million to 15 million TPY,

1.5 million to 3 million TPY), ensuring all process design parameters are validated and optimized.

• Implement metallurgical accounting and reconciliation systems in line with international best practices.

• Monitor daily plant performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements through data analysis and process modeling.

• Provide technical support in troubleshooting major plant incidents and work cross-functionally to prevent recurrence.

• Collaborate with the Operations, Maintenance, and Metallurgy teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering improvements.

• Guide junior engineers and promote knowledge transfer to local team members. • Support the integration of advanced control systems and real-time data monitoring platforms. • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, test work programs, and budget estimations

related to process enhancements.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Process Engineering; postgraduate studies are a plus. • 5 to 10 years of experience in large-scale copper mineral processing plants, preferably in Tier 1 mining environments. • Proven expertise in flotation, comminution, dewatering, and plant circuit optimization. • Be able to manage the design process of a new plant design for Copper, Lead and Zinc flotation plant, and be able to work with EPC companies regarding the construction of the plants. • International experience in scaling up production operations is highly desirable. • Hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable with on-site problem solving in remote environments. • Strong mentoring and training mindset, with a passion for developing local talent. • English fluency is required; other languages (Turkish, Farsi, Arabic) are a plus but not mandatory. • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in metallurgical modeling tools and data systems.
