Key Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting records for a portfolio of entities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Process journals and maintain the general ledger.
- Perform bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
- Prepare trial balances and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate year-end and periodic closing activities.
- Liaise with external auditors and resolve audit queries.
- Prepare tax computations and coordinate tax return filings.
- Support statutory filings with relevant authorities where applicable.
- Monitor reporting deadlines and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accounting documentation and supporting records.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to obtain accounting information.
- Prepare financial information requested by management and clients.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting assignments.
- Prepare and submit financial and regulatory surveys and questionnaires required by regulators, government authorities and other statutory bodies within prescribed deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
- ACCA/ACA/CPA or equivalent qualification (completed or in progress) preferred.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
