Job Summary
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Assurance Program for warehouse, inventory, food distribution, transportation, and logistics operations. The QA Manager ensures compliance with contract requirements, regulatory standards, food safety requirements, inventory controls, and customer expectations. This position leads inspections, audits, process improvement initiatives, corrective actions, and performance monitoring to ensure operational excellence and contract compliance.
Primary Duties

Develop, implement, and maintain the site Quality Control Plan (QCP).
Monitor compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS), contract requirements, and operational procedures.
Conduct routine inspections and audits of warehouse operations.
Verify temperature monitoring procedures for refrigerated and frozen products.
Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation reviews
Additional Responsibilities
Investigate customer complaints, quality incidents, inventory variances, and process failures.
Train employees on quality standards, food safety practices, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in meetings with Contracting Officers, CORs, auditors, and regulatory representatives.
Prepare monthly quality performance reports. Analyze trends and identify opportunities for process improvement. Recommend improvements to warehouse workflows, inventory controls, and documentation processes.
Review sanitation and pest control programs.
Ensure all quality records and documentation are maintained accurately and timely.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Experience and Certification(s)
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Associates degree in Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Food Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Minimum three (3) years of quality assurance experience in warehouse, logistics, food distribution, manufacturing, or related operations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and quality systems.
Understanding of food safety and sanitation requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action programs.
Ability to interpret contractual requirements and operational procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Ability to prepare reports and present findings to leadership and customers.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required Must be able to sit or stand inside a moving lift vehicle for extended periods of time (during entire shift). Must possess full range of motion to look overhead, twist, and turn safely while maneuvering machinery. The employee will lift or move products and supplies, up to 55 pounds, and work in cold temperatures. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This position operates in a warehouse environment, including dry storage rooms, refrigerated coolers (+32°F to +45°F), and a bulk freezer environment maintaining a -10°F temperature threshold. Work is required during regular weekdays and scheduled training weekends.
