HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Lax.com is looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Coordinator to own the receiving and returns process. This role works independently while partnering closely with Customer Service, Billing, and Purchasing to keep inventory accurate, organized, and in the right location.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Receive shipments: Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, and audit deliveries for accuracy, shortages, damages, or other discrepancies.
Process returns: Handle e-commerce returns, work with Customer Service on all return-related issues, and keep the process moving quickly and accurately.
Make resale decisions: Use sound judgment to determine which returned items can potentially be resold based on condition and company guidelines.
Maintain inventory accuracy: Enter inventory adjustments in NetSuite and ensure products are assigned to the correct inventory location.
Coordinate with internal teams: Communicate clearly with Billing, Purchasing, and Customer Service to resolve issues and keep inventory flowing correctly through the business.
Protect the receiving area: Keep the receiving workspace organized, dependable, and ready for daily operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Detail-oriented: A careful approach to accuracy, documentation, and product handling. - Independent and organized: The ability to manage daily work without needing constant direction.
- Clear communicator: Comfort working with Customer Service, Billing, and Purchasing to solve problems.
- Good judgment: Confidence evaluating return conditions and making practical resale decisions.
- NetSuite familiarity: Comfort using an inventory or ERP system to process adjustments and keep records current.
- Ability to effectively communicate and comprehend in English
- Learn tasks quickly, accuracy driven, personable, team oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance.
- Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide numbers.
- Experience in receiving, inventory, warehouse operations, or e-commerce returns: Helpful, but not required. Familiarity with sporting goods or product resale review is a plus.
- This role partners closely with Customer Service on returns, with Billing on inventory-related discrepancies, and with Purchasing on receiving issues and product accuracy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Previous warehouse experience is a plus
• At least 2-3 years of continued work experience
• SAP experience is strongly preferred
• Must be very comfortable with Microsoft Office, with extensive experience with Microsoft Excel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 15-50 lbs. on a regular basis from floor to waist. Finger and hand dexterity and ability to read text on a screen. Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
