Salary Range: $110,400-$171,200

Job Description

Credit Analyst Underwriter IV oversees and manages complex credit risk assessments and underwriting processes to ensure that the bank's financial assets are safeguarded. This role is responsible for leading a dedicated team of credit analysts and underwriters, while also collaborating with other departments to establish policies, practices, and procedures. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the credit risk assessment process, including the review and monitoring of credit applications to ensure their compliance with the bank's credit risk strategy and policy guidelines.
• Responsible for the leadership and management of a team of credit analysts and underwriters, guiding their day-to-day activities and managing their professional development.
• Actively contribute to the development and revision of credit policies, practices, and procedures to balance risk and profitability.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute short and medium-term strategic initiatives.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, influencing actions to optimize portfolio performance.

Education:

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field is required.
• A master’s degree in a related field or professional certification in risk management or underwriting is highly desirable.

Requirements

 Job Tasks:

• Reviewing complex credit applications and performing detailed risk assessments.
• Leading team meetings and individual development sessions.
• Crafting and implementing departmental operational strategies.
• Advancing credit policies, practices, and procedures.

Software Application:

• Proficiency in using credit risk assessment tools and credit management software.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Years Of Experience:

• Minimum of seven years of experience in credit risk analysis and underwriting, preferably within the banking sector.
• Three years of managerial experience with direct reports.

Physical Requirements:

• This job primarily involves working at a desk and using a computer for extended periods.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
