Pay & Role Overview
This dual-track position accommodates either a certified Medical Assistant or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Pay rates are structured according to verifiable years of clinical experience:
- Medical Assistant Rate Range: $22.23 – $27.37 / hour
- LPN Rate Range: $24.50 – $32.77 / hour
Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, patient-focused Medical Assistant or LPN to manage clinical workflow and assist healthcare providers in delivering outstanding patient care. In this role, you will work across diverse patient populations—including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—delivering collaborative, delegated clinical support.
Working under the guidance of Clinic Supervisors and onsite Providers, you will handle both clinical rooming and administrative support tasks to ensure efficient daily clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Patient Care Duties:
- Patient Rooming: Manage clinic flow by rooming patients, taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and documenting chief complaints.
- Medication Administration: Administer immunizations, injections, and prescribed medications strictly under provider direction.
- Laboratory & Specimen Collection: Perform routine specimen collection, point-of-care laboratory testing, and basic phlebotomy as needed.
- Specialty Support (Role-Dependent): Provide telephone triage support, assist with prescription refill requests, and perform basic diagnostic x-ray procedures (if certified/qualified).
Administrative & Operational Support:
- Facilitate clear, timely communication between patients, family members, and the care team.
- Support front desk check-in, patient scheduling, and prior-authorization paperwork as required.
- Maintain clean, fully stocked exam rooms and assist with medical supply ordering.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
For Medical Assistant (MA) Applicants:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) [Required].
- Program Completion: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (e.g., ABHES, CAAHEP) OR graduate of a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) program with relevant clinical experience and a passing score on the RMA certification exam [Required].
- Experience: Previous clinical experience in an outpatient or ambulatory setting [Required].
- Certification: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [Required].
For Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Applicants:
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in hand [Required].
- Experience: Previous clinical experience in an outpatient or ambulatory setting [Required].
- Certification: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [Required].
