Scrum Master, Retail Banking

Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate all Scrum events, including Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives and Backlog Refinement sessions.

• Ensure all ceremonies are time‑boxed, productive and aligned with the Sprint Goal.

• Coach the Development Team and Product Owner team on Agile/Scrum principles and practices.

• Foster self‑organization, collaboration and accountability within the team.

• Proactively identify, track and remove blockers and impediments.

• Shield the team from external interruptions and help maintain focus throughout the Sprint.

• Act as a bridge between the IT development team and the Product Owner team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities and requirements.

• Ensure the team remains focused on the Sprint Goal by tracking progress and facilitating effective communication within the team.

• Drive continuous improvement by facilitating retrospective sessions and implementing actionable enhancements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business Studies.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in retail banking, fintech or large‑scale digital transformation projects, with solid Scrum Master experience.

• Proven track record in facilitating all Scrum ceremonies and partnering with Product Owners to manage the product backlog.

• Hands‑on experience with Jira, Confluence or similar Agile project management tools.

• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology and experience coaching teams in Agile practices.

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM or equivalent) preferred.

• Excellent presentation, negotiation, organizational and problem‑solving skills.

• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
