Environmental Expert

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Expert to join our team for infrastructure and development sector projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Environmental safeguards, environmental impact assessments, and compliance with national and international standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Due Diligence, compliance reports and related environmental safeguard studies for environment and health & safety requirements of international financial institutions such as IFC, The World Bank, ADB, JICA, and other multilateral agencies.
• Conduct EIA study for environmental clearance.
• Preparation and review of environment, health & safety audits related compliance reports focused on national regulations for under construction or operational projects related to infrastructure and manufacturing units.
• Preparation and review of environment management plans, management system and compliance reports.
• Coordinate with project authorities, consultants, contractors, government agencies, local communities and environmental monitoring team on environmental safeguard matters.
• Preparation of reports, presentations, monitoring frameworks, and project documentation.
• Contribute to implementation and monitoring of environmental safeguard measures throughout the project lifecycle.

Desired Profile

• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in environmental safeguard and development sector assignments.
• Strong understanding of environmental safeguard frameworks and lender requirements including IFC, World Bank, ADB, JICA, etc.
• Strong understanding of environment, health & safety requirements of national regulations.
• Experience across sectors such as transport, renewable energy, industrial areas, manufacturing facilities, urban infrastructure, or related sectors.
• Strong analytical, communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualification

• Postgraduate degree in environmental engineering, environmental science or related discipline (followed by degree/certification in industrial health & safety will be desired)
