Overview
This is a fixed-term maternity cover position for a GIS/CAD Technician. The role involves capturing, managing, analyzing, and displaying information about the company's fiber network using geographic information systems. Key responsibilities include data gathering from various sources, data consolidation and verification, populating network details within GIS, modifying and updating data, preparing data in AutoCAD, assisting with data loading into GIS, supporting infrastructure design functions, and performing data analysis with map layout designs. The position requires technical thinking, orientation in technical drawings, and preferably knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS principles. Telecommunications infrastructure experience is advantageous. The working environment follows a 3 days in-office, 2 days remote schedule.
