Overall Mandate:

To prepare and cook products under the direction of the chef to be distributed to customers and stores.

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook food according to instructions ensuring that the quality and quantity standards are met;
• Cleaning food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils;
• Reading and preparing food orders;
• Measuring ingredients required for specific food items being prepared;
• Maintaining a high regard for Food Safety and Health and Safety standards in work areas;
• Ordering and receiving supplies;
• Other duties as required;

Skill Requirements:

• Working in a fast paced, high volume environment;
• Attention to detail;
• Time management and organizational skills;
• Ability to read and write in English;
• Handling up to 22.6 kg (50 lbs);

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED certificate;
• Relevant post- secondary education in food preparation and production would be considered an asset;
• 1-2 years of relevant experience;
