IT Infrastructure Engineer (F/M/D)
IT Manufacturing and Onsite Support team are looking for an infrastructure developer for our factory device management solutions used globally. The role is to design, plan, deploy, and support device management and other infrastructure solutions for Manufacturing sites globally.

About the Role
As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and advancing the infrastructure solutions that enable Essity’s global manufacturing operations. Working within a collaborative international team, you will manage and optimize industrial devices, mobile device management solutions, and supporting infrastructure used across production sites. You will collaborate closely with IT, Operational Technology (OT), Cybersecurity, factory teams, architects, and external vendors to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that support business performance and operational excellence.
What You Will Do
Infrastructure Solutions: Support, implement, test, deploy, and maintain infrastructure solutions for industrial devices, including tablets, scanners, mobile devices, printers, IPCs, networking components, and cloud-based systems.
Device Lifecycle Management: Manage device platforms and mobile device management solutions, ensuring performance, compliance, security, and operational continuity across manufacturing sites.
Operational Support: Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and infrastructure-related issues while ensuring high service quality and user satisfaction.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Production, OT, IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Architecture, Logistics IT, Cloud teams, and external vendors to design and deliver infrastructure solutions.
Projects & Modernization: Support device rollouts, refresh programs, modernization initiatives, and infrastructure improvements while following change and release management standards.
Documentation & Standards: Create and maintain operational documentation, work instructions, standards, technical records, and training materials to support sustainable operations.
Vendor & Asset Coordination: Work with suppliers and stakeholders to support device procurement, lifecycle planning, solution deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Financial ownership, including oversight and control of license costs, forecasting, deadlines, and vendor relationships.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure, device management, endpoint management, or related technology environments.
Experience with industrial devices, Android or Windows IoT environments, mobile device management platforms (such as SOTI, Intune, or similar), networking fundamentals, infrastructure security, and device deployment practices.
A proactive and collaborative professional with strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, stakeholder management capabilities, transparency, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset aligned with Essity’s values of Commitment, Care, Courage, and Collaboration.

This role can be based in Lisbon, Portugal (preferred location), with additional possibilities in Sant Joan Despí (Barcelona area), Spain or Munich, Germany. You will join a global team supporting manufacturing sites across multiple regions and will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues, business stakeholders, and technology partners around the world.
