Class 5This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
Position Summary
The Packout Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining pack-out equipment to meet production and quality standards. This role requires Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training prior to performing job duties and includes assisting with line setup, changeovers, equipment checks, rework, and cleaning while following all safety, quality, and company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 months of work experience with any employer
- Completion of Lockout/Tagout training
- Must successfully complete the Packout Operator training checklist within a 10-day trial period
- Must have completed the 90-day probationary period to apply
- Operate and adjust pack-out equipment, including automated baggers, stackers, conveyors, and printers
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications
- Monitor machine performance and report equipment issues
- Enter production data into Plant View
- Perform product changeovers and assist with line operations
- Follow all safety policies and work collaboratively as a team
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Walking, bending, standing and some lifting required.
- Lifting of up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to move heavy objects (100 lbs.) with mechanical device.
Requirements:
- Successful candidates may not be allowed to apply for another position for six (6) months unless the position is a promotion

- Must have completed 90-day probationary period to apply. If a non-probationary period team member is not selected, probationary team members will be considered.
- Must have a satisfactory attendance record of 3 points or less.
- Must not have received a written warning/suspension in the last 6 months.
