Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic Imaging: Perform comprehensive general diagnostic ultrasound examinations adhering strictly to established clinical protocols and diagnostic standards.
- Patient Care Across All Ages: Demonstrate clinical competence in adapting imaging techniques and patient care approaches for all age groups (pediatric, adult, and geriatric).
- Equipment Operation & QC: Operate, optimize, and maintain diagnostic ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and adherence to infection control standards between exams.
- Clinical Documentation: Obtain thorough patient clinical histories, summarize imaging findings, and prepare detailed preliminary technical reports for radiologist review.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside radiologists, clinical staff, and administrative teams to maintain efficient departmental patient workflows.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
- General Ultrasound Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of active, general diagnostic ultrasound experience in an acute or outpatient setting [Required].
- Age-Specific Competency: Proven experience performing ultrasound exams across all age groups (pediatrics through geriatrics) [Required].
- Professional Certification: Active registration through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) [Required].
- Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- State Licensure: Active state license for Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (or an equivalent, qualifying state license) in hand at time of application [Required].
- Vehicle Requirement: Candidates must have a personal, reliable vehicle for transportation.
- Radius Restriction: To qualify for this contract traveler position, your permanent, legal residence must be greater than 50 miles away from the facility. Permanent address verification must be submitted at the time of application.
- Planned Time Off (RTO): A maximum of five (5) days of requested time off can be considered for this assignment. All RTO dates must be locked in at the time of your initial profile submittal; scheduling modifications or shift accommodations cannot be approved during or after the interview process
