Environmental Graphic Designers who develop signage and show graphics that help tell the stories in Disney Theme Parks and Resorts worldwide.
The Graphic Designer Senior is responsible for leading the development and implementation of Environmental Graphic and Signage solutions across themed entertainment projects, supporting creative intent, project strategies, and execution across all phases from concept through construction.

Project Hire:
This is a Project Hire position without any guarantee of permanent placement.
What You Will Do:
Develop Environmental Graphic programs and support implementation of design intent as part of the project design team.
Collaborate with ED&E disciplines, Creative, Show/Ride, Design & Production, and Operating partners to support Environmental Graphic Design integration.
Support project goals and objectives through problem-solving and development of graphic design solutions.
Respond to questions during sign construction bid processes and resolve field issues and RFIs.
Lead design of Environmental Graphics for assigned projects or attractions of medium complexity.
Provide technical direction to in-house designers and Design Services consultants.
May direct consultants supporting Environmental Graphic design work.
Monitor design team performance against project schedules, budgets, and earned value.
Assist in development of scopes of work and soft cost design estimates.
Spend time leading and coordinating a small design team, as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 7+ years of experience in Environmental Graphic Design.
2+ years of experience leading design teams in Environmental Graphic Design or Signage.
Proficiency in Environmental Graphic Design and sign construction techniques.
Proficiency in wayfinding systems and programming.
Experience programming Environmental Graphics across a wide range of facility types.
Ability to estimate labor and fabrication/installation costs for graphic signage.
Working knowledge of contract processes and project lifecycle planning.
Familiarity with BIM standards.
Ability to make proactive design decisions and work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead coordination efforts as a discipline representative.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Proficiency with signage code requirements including Fire, Safety, Health, and ADA/ADAG.
Ability to develop reliable sign fabrication and installation estimates from schematic design.
Experience with construction phase activities including submittal/shop drawing reviews and field inspections.
Working knowledge of Disney theme parks, storytelling, and immersive design principles.
Ability to influence design outcomes on moderately complex projects.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program is required.
