South Coast Radiology (SCR), part of the Integral Diagnostics (IDX) Group, is seeking an experienced Tutor Sonographer to join our growing team on the Gold Coast. This unique hybrid role combines hands-on clinical scanning with mentoring and educating postgraduate and undergraduate sonographers, allowing you to make a lasting impact on the future of the profession.

About the Role 
Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll balance clinical scanning with education and mentorship, supporting sonographers throughout their learning journey while continuing to deliver outstanding patient care. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Delivering one-on-one clinical training to postgraduate student sonographers throughout their 24-month training program. 
  • Mentoring undergraduate sonography students during clinical placements. 
  • Supporting competency assessments, progress reviews and ongoing professional development. 
  • Coordinating student workflows, diary management and learning opportunities. 
  • Participating in IDX education programs and tutor forums to continuously enhance training standards. 
  • Maintaining a balance between clinical scanning and education in a collaborative, supportive environment.

About You 
You'll bring: 

  • Graduate Diploma or Master of Medical Sonography (ASAR accredited). 
  • Minimum five years' clinical sonography experience. 
  • A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring and developing others. 
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills. 
  • Strong technical knowledge and commitment to high-quality patient care. 
  • Experience with RIS/PACS and digital reporting platforms (desirable).
