Who We're Looking For

We are currently looking to hire a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves cats and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper feline handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of veterinary experience
• Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories  
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Blood draws
• Placing IV catheters
• Sub-Q / IM injections
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint (Not opposed to scruffing)
• Works at a fast, efficient pace
• Understand the importance of excellent communication and customer service skills
• 2 openings to be filled; Full-time or part-time veterinary assistant with a minimum of 1 year experience in animal handling and treatments.
• Must be available for a 10-hour Monday shift and a 5/6-hour Saturday shift
