What will be your tasks?

  • Leadership in resolution of quality problems associated with the purchased materials, complex equipment and engineering issues.
  • Key point of contact for vendors related to material and process qualifications (communicate Solar's specifications to supplier technical teams). 
  • Provide leadership in resolution of quality problems associated with externally manufactured equipment.
  • Ensure that external manufacturing & repairs are completed as per agreed timelines (track major milestones, prioritize, ensure proper support from vendor engineers to meet target completion dates...)
  • Lead root cause analysis activities to ensure supplier quality performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing Specialist, Buyer/Coordinator, Project Manager & Engineer to improve supplier cost, quality and lead time.

Minimum requirements:

  • Manufacturing / Quality experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings  
  • Ability to coordinate projects and initiatives
  • Experience with, welding, manufacturing of welded equipment,
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as a team member 
  • Familiarity with engineering practices & process planning (interpretation of drawings, tooling concepts, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Functional Test, etc.) and technical product knowledge (including metallurgy).
  • Good communication skills, ability to effectively interface with internal customers at all levels as well as external supplier contacts
  • Fluent in English and any other language is an advantage
  • Proficient MS office level of knowledge
  • At least 3-5 years of experience with Mechanical and/or Metallurgy and/or Manufacturing & Material Engineering, Welding Engineering also preferred.

 

 

Base Minimum Pay:

Kč1,360,056.00

 

Please note that salary is only one component of the total compensation and benefit package available at Caterpillar.

 

 

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
