Job Description:

As the Supervisor - VE+ET and Skilled Trades in Engineering Operations you will be responsible for supervising a Skilled Trades team that is handles service and maintenance of test cells and equipment that is used for testing heavy duty vehicle powertrains.  The team consists of UAW represented, Pipefitters, Electricians, Mechanics, HVAC, Millwrights, and Stationary Engineers

In this role, you will be a valuable part of the team by:

  • Supervise a team consisting of UAW represented Skilled Trades
  • Maintain building infrastructure in the ATI VE+ET test facility
  • Ensure resources are used efficiently
  • Participate in program planning and status update meetings
  • Ensure appropriate staffing/hiring
  • Implement and support safety policies and initiatives

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Post High School Degree (Bachelors/Associates, Technical) or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in oral and written business communication
  • Typically 5+ years in a related field (or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with automotive powertrain hardware
  • Experience supervising or leading others

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required

  • Experience with industrial building maintenance
  • Experience in automotive powertrain testing environment
  • Experience with automotive powertrain testing equipment
  • Experience supervising a union represented workforce
