About the opportunity
This role is responsible for the effective management of Wellways’ owned and leased properties, facilities, plant and associated assets, ensuring all sites meet relevant statutory, compliance and essential safety requirements. This includes coordinating preventive and responsive maintenance, maintaining accurate property and service records, managing lease administration, processing invoices and purchase orders, supporting insurance claims, arranging service contracts and overseeing minor works across the property portfolio.
This position acts as a key point of contact for property and facilities enquiries, liaising with internal stakeholders, property agents, contractors and service providers to resolve issues efficiently and deliver a high level of customer service. The role also monitors planned maintenance activities through the property management system, maintains lease, bond and key audit data, reviews facilities contracts, oversees property-related risks and provides regular reports to senior management on compliance, maintenance performance and emerging facilities risks.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications, extensive experience (7 years) in a similar role will be considered in lieu of educational qualifications
- Demonstrated long term Experience in property/ facilities compliance
- Familiarity with commercial property leases, their mandatory maintenance requirements and administration
- Understanding of requirements related to essential safety measures in the relevant states and territories
- Right to work within Australia
- Current valid Driver’s Licence and the ability to undertake some travel
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (free online course)
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children's Check (Employee/Paid)
