Description
The Director of Real Estate Development oversees the successful execution of the Workforce Housing Group's development initiatives. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage multiple projects, show creativity in overcoming obstacles, and deliver outcomes in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Director will have ultimate responsibility for all property development projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within the planned scope, time, and budget. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning and implementation of project strategies, ensuring alignment with Workforce Housing Group's strategic goals. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to guarantee that projects meet established standards and specifications. Oversee the acquisition of real estate including negotiations, coordination of due diligence, financial analyses, and implementation of effective closings. Manage developer agreements, project budgets and timetables, and risk mitigation strategies to maintain project progression according to plan. Work with the finance team to review and manage project related financial aspects, from conceptual budget to financial closeout. Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies, financial institutions, stakeholders, and the public. Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or related field. A Master's Degree and/or Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation are highly desirable. Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate development, ideally within the housing industry. Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and budgeting including proforma production and analysis. Strong knowledge of real estate development process, construction, and property management. Excellent problem solving, decision-making, team building, and communication skills. Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite and real estate specific software.
