Service Engineer in Yachting
Location: La Ciotat
What will you do?
As a Service Engineer, you are the go-to problem solver for luxury superyachts in Southern Europe. You perform maintenance and service on electrical installations – from power supply to automation – independently. You troubleshoot issues, solve problems efficiently, and ensure everything works perfectly before departure.
Your responsibilities:

Perform service, maintenance, and commissioning on board superyachts.

Analyze technical faults and resolve them independently or as part of a team.

Use measuring and testing equipment (e.g., megger or thermal camera).

Document findings clearly and systematically.

Work primarily in France, Spain, and Italy – occasionally worldwide.
Alewijnse assists with temporary or permanent relocation to Southern France, including housing, language lessons, and administrative support.

Who are you?
You are independent, solution-oriented, and think beyond the immediate issue. You enjoy technology, adventure, and can easily coordinate between client, team, and systems.
Requirements:

MBO-4 diploma in Electrical Engineering or a comparable maritime qualification

Experience in shipboard electrical systems

Knowledge of automation is a plus (PLC, SCADA, alarm systems)

Good command of English

Willingness to live and work in Southern France
