Manager - R&D Digital Platforms

Overview

This role will be part of an R&D Technical Market Analysis team out of Hyderabad and be responsible for coordinating and managing scientific and technical desk research activities for new idea feasibility analysis and support the process of claim substantiation. This role will support the overall Technical Market Analysis capability by coordinating with in-market teams as required for the provision of accurate and relevant research outputs.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and defines the objective of a research project and determines the best methods to use to meet those objectives.
• Perform market analysis, consumer needs identification, and consumer / product / desk research and testing activities in line with global requests and ad hoc inquiries as required
• Pharma/Life Science/ Food and Beverage/Health and Nutrition/ CPG/FMCG industry knowledge with systems level thinking and ability to cross reference other industry insights to shape the content that research team puts together.
• Ability to understand and develop technical ingredient-claim landscapes in alignment with consumer preferences and industry trends; understand linkages between ingredient composition or dosage with the desirable benefit or claim areas
• Correlate ingredient science and functionalities, and associated benefits or mechanism of actions to come up with new human centric ideas for claim development
• Summarize and analyze data and makes recommendations related to research findings
• Ensure all requests are processed, documented, and delivered within defined SLAs
• Reports findings, complete with graphs illustrating data and written text explaining complex findings
• Appetite to scan through scientific, technical and product research to draw out trends and technical direction of a functional area
• Conduct new idea feasibility analysis to generate insights for the advancement of R&D
• Delivers reports and presentation of findings in a concise, structured and story-telling way to executive leadership
• Foster and leverage working relationships with other GBS Technical Market Analysis teams in Hyderabad
• Identify potential areas for process improvements and employee upskilling to make recommendations to Technical Market Analysis team lead for continuous capability / employee development

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Detail-oriented, business problem solving and logical reasoning skills, advanced analytical research skills to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions for business
• Strong organizational and communication skills to deliver and report on outputs and insights discovered from conducted scientific research and analysis
• Understanding of Service Management processes
• Ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities and projects to ensure requests are delivered in a timely manner
• Experience working in a large global CPG / FMCG/ Food and Beverage/Health and Nutrition company, with understanding of the CPG performance outputs and measures
• Exposure to MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word
• Fluent in English
• Bachelors/Masters/PhD (Pharma/Life Science/ Food and Beverage/Health and Nutrition/ CPG/FMCG) or any other science field is desirable
• Min. 6 years of prior work experience in similar or related field
