Overview

Oversees outpatient pharmacy operations, including the development of programs at all sites. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the outpatient pharmacy location. Coordinates departmental performance improvement activities and participates in hospital performance improvement activities. Provides quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses medication orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Contributes to the quality and effective operation of the department.
• Ensures safe, appropriate, cost effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Management and development of outpatient programs and services at all sites.
• Staffing and personnel management.
• Maintains competence required for current job title/position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree PharmD or BS in Pharmacy and 1-2 years experience Previous experience in a meds to beds program or 2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Licensed Pharmacist - MO
• Licensed Pharmacist - KS
• PHARM LIC MO Licensed Pharmacist - MO or proof of pharmacy technician license, pharmacy intern license, or application submitted to board of pharmacy prior to hire with pharmacist license obtained within 90 days of hire. Required 90 Days
• PHARM LIC KS Licensed Pharmacist - KS or proof of pharmacy technician license, pharmacy intern license, or application submitted to board of pharmacy prior to hire with pharmacist license obtained within 90 days of hire. Required 90 Days

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $60.71/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
