ROLE SUMMARY

As Product Manager for Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platform, you will be accountable for the value delivery of a new and innovative digital product that continuously and sustainably impacts the user experience across the globe.

You will be responsible for coordinating a cross-functional Product Team by working closely with Product Owners to align technical decisions, build product roadmaps, build consensus, and resolve impediments along the product lifecycle. As needed, you will also coach and give directions to Product Engineers and matrixed team members as they deliver on the product road map.

As Product Manager, you will build strong relationships across key leaders within the Global Clinical / R&D Clinical Trial Operations and Data Management business and Pfizer Digital COE and support services to ensure that the product roadmap delivers a set vision and outcomes that are aligned with the overall Pfizer strategy.

As Product Manager for the EDC platform, you will be accountable for the end‑to‑end product strategy, delivery, and lifecycle management of a mission‑critical global clinical solution supporting Pfizer’s clinical operations worldwide.

This role owns enterprise‑level outcomes, including product vision, value realization, and long‑term roadmap alignment across Global Clinical, Pfizer Digital, and external partners.

The Product Manager serves as the single point of accountability for business value, risk, and investment decisions, balancing compliance, user experience, and platform scalability.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own end‑to‑end accountability for the EDC platform across strategy, delivery, operations, and value realization

  • Define and govern multi‑year product vision and roadmap, aligned with Pfizer clinical and digital strategies

  • Facilitate and drive final prioritization and trade‑off decisions across scope, funding, risk, and timeline

  • Ensure compliance, data integrity, and audit readiness in partnership with Regulatory, Quality, and IT stakeholders

  • Responsible for decisions that impact on the overall product vision and metrics (e.g., Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) fulfillment

  • Create, maintain, and execute against a prioritized roadmap for the Clinical business

  • Establish strong relationships with key business stakeholders and serve as strategic partner in product decision making

  • Work with cross-functional teams of architects, engineers, and designers to deliver customer-centric product features

  • Apply user-centered design principles and practices in the product development lifecycle

  • Exercise strong decision-making mandate across cross-functional teams

  • Stay in sync with the Product Owners on priorities and day-to-day decision making

  • Prepare and support the agile team on product demos

  • Contribute to the overall success and lifecycle of the product during definition, design, user story/requirement creation, documentation, launch, management updates, and metrics

  • Oversee creation of user stories/specs and data analysis to justify product decisions and apply key learnings

  • Create and deliver presentations to stakeholders and users

  • Responsible for managing and/or retiring other CDMS systems (i.e. RAVE, Inform, DMW, OC)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Biological Sciences or a related field required

  • 10+ years of product or program management experience required; pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to define and execute product visions, strategies, and roadmaps that deliver measurable business outcomes

  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale technology projects and platforms from initiation through value realization, including software development, system design, testing, and integrations.

  • Strong ability to analyzing user metrics and turning them into actionable insights, including the use of A/B testing and analytics platforms

  • Highly motivated, curious self-starter with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and independently drive work to completion through effective planning and management

  • Passion for creating user-centric digital and interactive Provider experiences

  • Knowledge, training, or experience in Agile and Lean development methodologies

  • A strong communicator with great written and verbal skills

  • Demonstrated experience managing financials, budgets, and project forecasts, with proven ability to negotiate effectivelywith suppliers

  • Current and comprehensive knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant innovations

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master’s degree

  • Experience owning enterprise‑scale digital platforms with global Clinical impact

  • Certification in Agile and Scrum development practices is a plus

  • Experience in product design, vision and roadmap creation, and data & analytics

  • Strong leadership skills and the proven ability to drive organizational change

  • Strong communication skills with ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions

  • Active coaching and mentoring skills that help grow and maximize the team’s potential

RESOURCES MANAGED

Financial Accountability

This role is accountable for end‑to‑end financial stewardship of the EDC platform, including licensing, project enhancements, and sustaining operations. Responsibilities include investment prioritization, budget planning, and ongoing financial governance across multiple funding sources to ensure value realization, fiscal discipline, and alignment with enterprise strategy.

Supervision

No direct people management responsibilities, however, this role is expected to mentor junior colleagues and provide guidance on product and agile principles to the entire team. Responsible for aligning a highly matrixed team with product strategy and organizational priorities.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

US travel 1-2 times a year may be required in support of product roadmap planning, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with partners.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $162,900.00 to $271,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
