Our purpose is to serve our customers in the best possible way.
We want to offer the most effortless and relevant banking experience in the Netherlands and beyond. Banking experiences that make it easier for anyone to pay, plan, reach their goals in life and in business, expand their business, do the right thing, and withstand the unexpected.
Our mission is empowering our customers through personalized and differentiating digital user experiences. We shape how digital experiences are created, delivered, and improved.
The Team
We are looking for a senior technology leader for the Mobile Features area within ING's Omnichannel domain. A leader who combines strong engineering leadership with a passion for building high-performing teams and delivering the best possible customer experience for our mobile customers, while embracing ING's Orange culture and commitment to diversity.
Omnichannel is where ING connects with customers across countries. Based in the Netherlands, close to one of ING’s largest customer bases, our focus is on designing, building and operating the solutions behind Conversational Banking, OneApp, OneWeb and Assisted Channels. These customer journeys solutions are reused across countries, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Australia, with further adoption planned across the ING network.
In this role, you will have a truly global impact. You will lead the delivery of customer-facing mobile capabilities that power OneApp (including Conversational Banking), while helping accelerate the adoption of scalable, reusable solutions across ING Retail countries.
Roles and responsibilities
As IT Area Lead, you will work in a dynamic and challenging environment where you are accountable for people leadership, delivery, technology execution, operational excellence, budget, and business outcomes for key global products in multiple ING countries. Together with the business and architects you’ll define and translate product and technology strategy into execution, measurable outcomes, and scalable solutions in a highly available and highly secure manner.
You lead and develop high-performing engineering teams and manage trade-offs between customer value, risk, technology health, people capacity, and delivery, while contributing to building global products that are used across countries.
You will be a member of your domain management team, reporting to the Omnichannel CIO in the Netherlands.
