Join our team

Baker Hughes is a leading global energy‑technology company operating in more than 120 countries. We deliver innovative solutions that make energy safer, cleaner, and more efficient across the entire value chain. Combining deep industrial expertise with advanced engineering and digital technologies, Baker Hughes supports energy production, transformation, and decarbonization while helping customers achieve better operational performance and sustainability outcomes.

Partner with the best

Kantori is Baker Hughes’ unified digital autonomous well construction solution that integrates artificial intelligence, physics‑based models, and real‑time analytics to optimize and automate the entire well construction lifecycle—from planning and execution to monitoring and performance improvement. By enabling data‑driven decision making, Kantori helps reduce Non‑Productive Time (NPT), Invisible Lost Time (ILT), and operational risk while improving Rate of Penetration (ROP), efficiency, and well quality.

As a Kantori Performance Engineer (Drilling Optimization Engineer), you will support remote drilling operations by monitoring system performance, analyzing drilling data, identifying optimization opportunities, and ensuring advisory tools provide accurate operational recommendations.

As a Kantori Performance Engineer (Drilling Optimization Engineer), you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring Kantori system performance, data quality, and connectivity to ensure reliable operation.

  • Ensuring advisory tools including tripping/surge, hydraulics, hole cleaning, torque & drag, ROP, and vibration modules function correctly and provide accurate recommendations.

  • Maintaining and updating live engineering data, including well geometry, operating limits, and operational constraints.

  • Updating Intelligent Well Planning cases based on operational changes, including:

    • Pore pressure and ECD window revisions

    • BHA configuration or tool limitation changes

    • Updated WOB, RPM, flow‑rate, and ROP limits

  • Preparing daily performance reports, KPI tracking, activity coding, and optimization event documentation.

  • Highlighting operational trends and key findings during daily operational review meetings.

  • Monitoring NOVOS system behavior, automated drilling sequences, and mode changes remotely.

  • Identifying and reporting operational deviations, manual overrides, and inefficient practices.

  • Providing regular updates to stakeholders through Microsoft Teams and other communication channels.

  • Explaining advisor alerts, escalating issues and opportunities, and following up on actions with rig and engineering teams.

  • Identifying drilling optimization opportunities, including:

    • Surge and swab risks during tripping

    • High ECD and hydraulic inefficiencies

    • Poor hole cleaning performance

    • Torque, drag, and friction issues

    • ROP inconsistencies and vibration risks

  • Communicating operational recommendations and verifying field implementation.

  • Performing Level 1 troubleshooting for platform access, visualization, and data feed issues.

  • Escalating complex technical issues with proper documentation and supporting information.
